The beneficiary, especially children, seized the opportunity to appeal to the assistance that they need to be supported. They advocated for themselves through poetry, songs and dances, interpreting songs and using musical instruments, sometimes modern, sometimes atypical.

Compassion International was founded in 1952 by Rev. Everett Swanson. He offered orphans of the Korean War, food, shelter, education, medical assistance and a biblical education. The name of the Ministry comes from the words of Jesus in (Mt 15:32 [NET]): “I have compassion on the crowd, because they have already been here with me three days and they have nothing to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry since they may faint on the way.”
